036 – Schadenfreude ‘Rio Bravo Del Norte’

Remixes: M.in, Adam Shaw, & Reuben Keeney

Our last release from Dirty Deal switly gained support from the likes of Laurent Garnier and Connaisseur’s Alex Flitsch as well as the label’s usual supporters, so this new package from Schadenfreude should open things up further for us…as a diverse mix of party grooves, badass bass, and 3 crackin’ remixes from some serious hot producers.

Otherwise known as Mark Findlay and Dan Hammil, Schadenfreude met at prestigious music college Gateway and have subsequently spent their time developing their sound, dj profiles and their Overload night to much success.

“Rio Bravo Del Norte” is an out and out party tune. Technoid drums and an off beat bassline propel the track but it’s a mariachi style hook which turns the track into a rip roaring monster which is unforgettable.

For the first remix the canny A&R team at Spin Out have drafted in M.in. Following his massive “Work That Body” track earlier this year as well as remixes for Get Physical and Off Recordings, M.in is pretty hot and this remix won’t do the heat any harm. Drummy, smooth and deep it’s an interpretation which will prick up more than an ear or two.

Adam Shaw takes things into shuffling, percussive tech house territory for his remix with gut disturbing bass and a rolling vibe which will many a fan. By removing the original’s hook, Shaw has created a completely different vibe, and one which is well worth a check.

Finally, Reuben Keeney turns in a brooding groover which sandwiches the samples with a heavily contrasted vibe which serves to highlight the original elements even further.

We are moving at a rate of knots right now, so don’t miss out.
